INTRODUCING

The next generation of Air Sampling Cassettes

We invented the new PRO15™, a 15-liter air sampling cassette with new patent pending stabilizer bar technology. Unlike all other air sampling cassettes on the market the PRO15™ stabilizer bar design creates a firmly fixed target for mold spores and other airborne particulate to impact the two-year shelf-life adhesive, that prevents bounce which insures a more accurate representation of what’s actually in the air you are sampling. In addition, we purposely created the PRO15™ fluorescent green cassette for professionals, so it can be seen in areas with little or low amounts of ambient light such as crawl spaces, basements, or attics. HOW IT'S MADE

The PRO15™ is an innovative and specialized air sampling cassette meticulously engineered for expedited airborne aerosol collection and precise quantitative analysis. Its design allows for the capture of both viable and non-viable particulates, including but not limited to pollen, mold spores, insect fragments, and various fibers such as, fiberglass, cellulose, and inorganic particles. The PRO15™ cassettes offer a valuable tool for environmental monitoring, providing critical insights into the composition and concentration of airborne particulate matter.

Innovative Features

  • PRO15™ stabilizer bar design provides a stable target for mold spores and airborne particles to adhere preventing bounce off for accurate sampling.
  • Airborne particles impact a two-year shelf-life patented acrylic optically clear and flat adhesive.
  • The PRO15™ cassette is fluorescent green for visibility in low-light areas like attics, basements and crawl spaces.

How It Works

The PRO15™ operates based on the industry recognized principle of inertial impaction. Within the airflow, particles undergo acceleration as they approach the tapered inlet aperture. Subsequently, these particles are channeled through a narrow aperture, precisely directed at a glass slide. This glass substrate is endowed with a tacky and optically clear patented sampling adhesive, capable of enduringly ensnaring and retaining particles.
The ingeniously devised stabilizer bar design engenders an immovably affixed locus for mold spores and diverse suspended particulate to effectuate their impact. This creates a much better representation of particles in the air
Upon traversing the aperture, the particles, influenced by the air’s velocity, undergo forceful collision with the sampling medium. Simultaneously, the air current undergoes an acute 90° deflection, encircling the slide prior to exiting the cassette.

PRO15™ Sampling Intervals

All Samples must run at 15 Liters Per Minute (LPM)

15 LPM / 10-30 min

  • Home / Office Normal activity
  • Windless day
  • No precipitation
  • No visible dust
  • No construction

15 LPM / 5 Min

  • Rapid Test
  • Heavy indoor activity
  • Cleanup in process
  • Visible dust

15 LPM / 1 Min

  • Wall Cavity Sample
  • Construction
  • Renovation in process
*All air samples including control samples must be run at the same flow rate and time to provide comparative results. PRO-LAB will not accept unlike air sampling media for comparison purposes.

Sampling

To initiate the sampling process, remove the paper seals from both the inlet (top) and outlet (bottom) points. Next, affix the PRO15™ cassette to your sampling pump. Activate the sampling pump, allowing a suitable sampling duration spanning 1 to 10 minutes based on your professional observations and sampling chart above. Upon completion of the sampling phase, reinstate both paper seals, label each sample and note the serial number on your chain of custody. The orientation of the cassette, whether horizontal or vertical, bears no influence on results. It is advisable to consistently procure “outdoor background” samples, serving as benchmarks for comparative analysis.

Storage and Operating Conditions

The PRO15™ air sampling cassettes should be stored at room temperatures, between 60-82°F (15-28°C). DO NOT USE the PRO15™ air sampling cassettes at temperatures below 32°F (0°C). If the PRO15™ air sampling cassettes have been exposed to freezing temperatures immediately before sampling, it is recommended to let the product acclimate to the sampling environment before use.
